    <description> &lt;p&gt;I wouldn&#039;t recommend having background sound. It&#039;s annoying, some users can&#039;t here it, and it may cause some to leave. If it really worked, would Yahoo or ESPN use it?&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;with javascript you probably could do it, but otherwise it is one page, two different desired effects.  I am not a js wiz or I&#039;d post it, but I have fragments of scripts that could be mashed together to possibly do it.  This wouldn&#039;t be nearly as good as something one of the experts here could whip up in seconds.&lt;/p&gt;
