I have looked at Flash 5, and it has many new features, as opposed to it's predecessor(Flash 4). I would recommend the latter. Get Flash 5, since it has incorporated new tutorials and has made some valiant efforts to reduce the learning curve. There is no difference in the animation side, from what I understand (short of new actionscript features), but it has new tools, and shortcuts, that could very well come in handy.

I don't know if this would work, but I imagine you could call or email Macromedia, and I am fairly sure that they could give you some more info, or perhaps a trial version of Flash 5.

I myself am not worried about trying it out, after discovering Flash 4, I became an addict. Flash 5, is my next cloud.(10)

Should I wait and get Flash 5 or should I stay put and stick with learning Flash 4? Is there a lot of different? Is it worth for me to go and buy Flash 5 ( without testing it frist?) There is no trail version of Flash 5. I got the Flash 4.

Yeah, the tutorials that come with flash are very good, but I'd also reccomend checking out The Flash 4 Visual Start Guide. Very good...

The easiest way to learn the basics of Flash is to use their tutorials. They cover 90% of the basics there. Such as the timeline, drawing techniques, and stuff like that. Then if that and tutorials online, don't quench your thirst for the basics, get a book. Like Flash 4 FX & Design by Ken Milburn and John Croteau.

That is the book that I purchased, and so far it has answer all my questions...except one(The one I asked in the Graphics and Design Help Forum a couple of days ago).

Then just play, and play, and play.
