I have both Flash and LiveMotion. If you’re serious about Flash then get Flash 5 (I don’t see the point in buying 4). LiveMotion is basically a striped down animator that looks like Adobe ImageStyler. So far the only feature that I really like in LiveMotion is the ability to animate ImageStyler files. Otherwise Flash is the way to go.

Before you spend $300+ on software download the demos and try both out!

Well, the dilemma is over.

I bought Flash 5 yesterday (first day of release, I understand) - so far it looks smashing.

Actually Justin, I'd have to contradict you on this one. Get Flash 5. Not much more expensive then 4, and has alot of new features, including Photoshop style, collapsable windows...just what I always wanted..hehe.

We will be getting it here in a few weeks. If you want to wait until then, I'll give ya'll a review.

I'd say go with the real thing: Macromedia Flash 4. If you're a student you can probably get student discounts...
