I feel there is certainly some basis to color theory, as you can see when you're browsing web sites. Though I don't agree that if a site is red you won't want to buy anything from it because it makes you think of blood.

You can see when just browsing web sites that the ones with red, orange, yellow, and other brighter colors feel more fast-paced and busy, while ones with shades of blue (the preferred "corporate" color) or green make for a more "relaxed" feeling site, but still professional.

Sure, they are the -colors- of these objects/things, but I am not that self-subservient [sorry if that word doesn't fit, I like it, though] to associate things.

Another thing you might want to take into mind is what colors mean around the world. This has been talked about a lot lately, and in the latest issue of Web Techniques there is a whole article about it. Check out their site (www.webtechniques.com) and see if you can find it. You might also want to search the entire web...
