Yes you could buy just one, and I wouldn't buy direct from Cobalt unless you are planning on getting around 250. I bought mine through Tera-byte (which is where it is colo'd), but this obviously won't work for you (unless you are colo'ing it there).

I'd check out this link for better pricing http://www.insight.com/cgi-bin/bp/1742863631/web/result.html?a=s&f=p&t=a&d=raq&x=49&y=11 . Only slightly higher than what I paid. Not sure what their policies are as I have never bought from them before.

The other thing is what would it cost to buy a raq? I have a mate who runs a data centre and will probably let me put it in there for free or for a £5 a month or something.

Can you buy them in 1's or do you have to buy 250 odd of them? It would be a good idea for someone who works in RaQ to come in this forum.

Tera-byte.com has been very freindly and helpful to me, and I would recommend their services. They host with RaQs as well as lease them. I would check them out first (this is the only one I have actuall experience with).

Some others: People seem to like rackspace, catalog.com, hispeed, dialtoneinternet.com (maybe not the full names and I am not sure what the URL's are exactly. Try .com first
