The one you are on. We use it at our site, and it is much faster because it uses mysql (i think) instead of flat text databases like ubb. Thats why UBB hogs memory.

UBB is an excellent app, but UBB's dynamically generated indexes use considerably more server resources than an html based app on a medium to high traffic BBS.
If the server is medium to high end, there's no real problem, but if (in my case) you're on a lower end dedicated server with a fairly high traffic BBS, then Discus will outperform UBB by a substantial margin.

i like ubb because, it's free (free version), lots of hacks out there, and it's pretty easy to hack urself.

Discus now has templates available that can be used to make table layouts.
I've been using the Pro version for 2 yrs now, and the word that comes to mind is "bulletproof". I've heard reports of instability when the board reaches around 30,000 posts, but haven't experienced it personally. I try to keep my bbs between 15,000 and 20,000 posts, and have had no problems.
