Yes, thinkhost does use Apache. Yet, so do a lot of other hosts. To find out if a host uses Apache, visit http://netcraft.com and type in their domain name. This service (which is free) will tell you if it is using Apache or not. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Rich, if I were to get a UNIX server at ThinkHost.com, would that have Apache? (Sorry, I'm not too familiar with Apache).

YOu won't be able to change them using a .htaccess file. .htaccess files and such are features of the Apache web server. Sorry.
