    <description> &lt;p&gt;I had a similar problem before and (as best I can remember)the only way to &#039;fix&#039; it at 1024 px was to make sure that there was at least one full line/row of content in the 100% table width.  Quite how you can achieve that when obviously you don&#039;t want content in the &#039;outside&#039; table isn&#039;t obvious.  Maybe a hokey work-around would be to choose a font color equal to your page background and have a line of text that is more than long enough to fill even a 1400px wide screen.&lt;/p&gt;
