Although adamie5 is pretty funny I think we should stop. TWF isn't about making fun of other people. Although I don't understand why Adam made that post in the first place. He was just bringing it to himself. Maybe he is just striking back for us saying in the Critique area that his design wasn't to hot. In any case I think we should all stop as it isn't nice to poke fun and remember that there are actual people behind these computers.

TWF is a FORUM (hence, the "F" in the acronym). The site is NOT a site to show off design abilities. Face it, the purpose of this site is to share information QUICKLY. By adding graphics from here to tim-buck-too (howerver that is spelled) only slows down that process.

People don't visit TWF to see a great looking design. They visit TWF to get great information on how to MAKE a great looking design (or any number of other things).

If TWF was trying to sell a design service, the site would look differently. But, since it isn't, the site is designed for its need.

Several of the above posts blame the "problem" on UBB - it isn't UBB. We don't WANT to make the site a design fashion - that isn't its purpose. If it were, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Haha- well, I think the post by AdamE is pretty funny.

First, I think the splash page for this site works fine. Although it's nice and simple, it gets the point across.

Second, I don't really like the way UBB is setup, but it works fine for what we need. Obviously you never heard about the story with ********* (which is much better than UBB).

Finally, I would have to disagree that your site is better.
