&lt;p&gt;What OS would you use ?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you go with a Unix and still have some accounts left I might be interested.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Most of the hosts I have worked with/used, put around 5000 accounts on such a system ...&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;The performance would be fine with that. In fact, with 100 accounts, you would be able to scale down a little without cutting performance... unless you plan the sites to be _very_ CPU/RAM intensive&lt;/p&gt;
