Could you tell me when this problem occurs? When a user logs in to a local network, they should not need to have their password validated by an off-site PDC ( I guess you mixed them up here, a DNS is resolving domain-names to IP-Adresses, while a PDC (Primary Domain Controller) is handling logins and passwords in an NT-Domain).
