    <description> &lt;p&gt;If your hosting company sets it up, you can connect to mySQL using an ODBC driver over the internet. I&#039;ve never done it, but I&#039;ve heard that it is possible. The trick is that the hosting company will have to un-block the port that ODBC will connect via.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;Access for MySQL?  I&#039;m assuming you mean some kind of graphical front-end?  If your host supports php, i highly recommend phpMyAdmin.  There is also a windows mysql gui client that you can use, but it seems kind of slow and unwieldy to me.
