Something is just not quite right about this. I think the left side menu is too close to the edge of the page. You need something (probably a banner ad) to fill up that blue space at the top. The logo is too small.

I also think that there is way too much text on here. You really don't need descriptions of the menu headers. Lose those (and the site will look more unique if you do something a little different with the menu - maybe something that coordinates better with the graphic headers and logo). The navigation article can go on a new page - I didn't expect it to be an actual article down there under "what's cool". Use bullets for the list of common navigational styles.

It would be nice if you could include a mix of your own articles/tutorials and links to other sites - that would make it a more well rounded site. Your Tutorials area definitely needs an HTML section.

quote:Whether you are just starting out at web design or have been at it for years, WebDevResources.com has what you need. From articles to scripts, and tutorials to resources, you'll find something useful.

It does not seem like your site is supporting this goal. Your content so far is maily ASP and CGI resources. Take the Directory page for instance - there are two big prominent sections for those two languages, and the other languages are just linked to your Tutorials pages (which is a problem, because you're using to main nav headers to link to the same content).

You should either a) make a definite effort to specialize in those two areas and lose everything else or b) include links and info about all aspects of web development to reach a broader audience.

The spacing on your articles page needs fixing - there should be more space between the comments and the next header.

1) I don't like the border around the whole page, especially since you have no margins. I would just take them away.

2) The logo is too small. I'd make it a little bigger, then put a banner ad to the right of it to fill up the space.

3) Why not add some bullets next to each of the links on the menu, then make the descriptions smaller text wise.

4) I agree about the folder. S**** it, then move the header up a little bit.

5) The right side menu looks sloppy to me. Clean it up, then add more stuff to it, like news, latest articles, etc...

Overall it's ok, but looks like most of the other webmaster sites I've seen...

I got the link to work this time.

I liked the color scheme on the first page but I think it needs to carry over more to the sub pages.

Change that little file folder to some other icon for sending e-mail to the webmaster. I had to mouse over it just so see what it was for.

With my resolution at 800x600, the borders were too narrow. I personally like the text away from the edges more than that.

On this page http://www.webdevresources.com/articles.shtml put the headers closer to the paragraphs that go with them.

Other than that, it looked pretty good.

Wouldn't come up for me either. By the way, I fixed the link so it doesn't include the question mark.

It wouldn't come up for me. I'll try again later. Yes, even without the question mark.
