Well...Justin always beats me. I usually just repeat what he says except for sometimes if I disagree. Instead of writing what he said except rewording it I will not waste your time so just read his and Megan's and you see what I think.

IMO, ability to create the code (or use a WYSIWYG to do it for you) does not make anyone a good designer. What you need to do is research design - look at other pages (http://www.coolhomepages.com is a good start), read up on design, really LOOK at what other people are doing.

Also read up on writing for the web - you'll learn that it's important to divide content into short sections and to keep text as short as possible. Nobody's going to want to read all that stuff on the first page so just get rid of it. Ask yourself if people will really need to read all this. If the answer is now, get rid of it (ie. all those "Dear Director" things at the top of every page - the headings are pretty self explanitory, so I doubt that anyone will want to read them).

On the web, people want to get where they want to go as quickly as possible - people aren't going to become regular users of your site unless you let them do that.

Your navigation is a problem - the font needs to be bigger (never go smaller than the default unless it's for relatively unimportant things like copyright statements). I also think that the layout needs more structure (use tables with coloured backgrounds to add structure to the page - a very common technique). FInally, you need to get rid of any unnecessary text.

Your site looks like someone who just started learning HTML.

If you're a newbie in HTML, my suggestion is to get a WYSIWYG editor, like NOF or Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Peter,

Some of the pages don't have that crosshatch background, they were just plain white.

The first page was too long. It's better that you should keep more information "above the fold" and provide navigation to the rest of the information.

I agree with Justin, providing your visitors with some better navigation will increase the chances of repeat visitors.

Some of the text didn't line up properly. Fix that, it will help the site look more professional.

I can't really comment on the content since I'm not in that industry, but from the layman's view, it looked good. Content is really what keeps you visitors coming back, too. So if your content is good, then what you would need to work on is the layout and navigation and you'll have a good site.

1) I think the splash page works good because it informs the user what the site is about.

2) You need to work on the navigation of the site. Just sticking all the links in small font up at the top of the page doesn't work. You need to create a side menu or a horizontel menu with a bigger font size.

3) You need more then just a text logo. Either get Paint Shop Pro or hire someone to design a logo.

4) Get rid of the dumb clip-art pictures. They don't do anything but make the page look tacky and amateurish.

Otherwise the content looks great...
