Using frames is not intrinsically bad design. Using frames badly is always bad design.

If you want frames, then learn how to set framespacing, frameborder, etc to zero so they don't show ... and learn to size each frame so that the content always fits into it, i.e. set the menu frame #colums to a fixed value so the images fit without the scroll bars.

Designing a page for your resolution is bad design - design it for any resolution (well, within reason).

I really hate automatic sound files. Usually I'm listening to other music while I'm surfing, so that can get really annoying.

Really needs another accent colour. A little bit of yellow or blue would help a lot. The pop-up is annoying.

On the actual pages, get rid of those table borders, that's really hard on the eyes. Maybe put the lists in two columns instead of one centered one.

You need a navigation menu on every page. That is very important. I am glad to see that you've kept your miscellaneous junk below the fold!

Babyman

This one looks really good. Get rid of the frame though, that's really unnecessary and the border on it really breaks up the page in a bad way. The logo should appear in the top left corner of the screen, so it's visible on every page. the table on the gift shop should be streamlined a lot (lose those bgcolors!)

Just Gemstones

This one needs an overhaul. The frame just plain sucks. Scrollbars in the middle of the page are always bad. If you really have to use frames, you could probably put the navigation headings in a smaller font and set the frameset to no scrolloing.

The big logo looks good - I like that cutout effect, but the one in the frame is too small. Also get rid of those two links under the big logo and put them in the navigation menu.

The patterned background... well... that isn't exactly the style anymore, but I think they can look good if used correctly. This one looks alright, I guess, but the pink one you have on the sub-pages looks horrible. So do the default 3d table borders.

Babyman.net is really good. I don't like the frames too much, but I can live with them. The graphics are very professional and look awsome.

icqgreetings.com looks ok. It is simple, and fast loading which is fine with me.

Why did all of the 'shopping' links take me off site? I didn't really care for that.

If you have the time/funding update justgemstones and icqgreetings to look more like babyman.
