I do not like it. I am sorry. I agree with all"the above. Another thing that is "not done" is to change the proportions of a text. Dotcomjokes is far too small compared to its' height. Far too shouting colors, even for a joke site. It is too obvious it is made in five minutes.

The purple is not the worst i've seen and for a joke site it could get by.

The smiley really does bother me though, on the purple it looks like you added the chisel effect in PSP and it just makes it look tacky.

In addition the smiley is not consistant. On the left logo it is facing one way and next to it on the right you mirrored it.

Finally, the text kind of runs right up against the black line that seperates it from the menu.

Jokes would be good for a joke site too
but since you say this is something you don't intend on continuing, its okay.

Just a quick question:
If you have no intention of doing anything with that site why do you want people to review it?
Heres my review even though you don't need it:
the purple is horrible, too much white space next to the logo, too many fonts, it could be good, but its ugly right now.

Yup, I agree. That purple is hurting my eyes! ugh! Too many colours (that don't match at all, too many fonts, happy face covers up title, pop up is extremely annoying, text is too close to the background, happy face looks like it was drawn freehand in paint, no content...

Wow, the joke of the day today is really, really funny...

1) What is up with the smiling guy? His mouth is crooked. I would fix this...

2) The main text of the page is smooshed up against the side bar. Give it a little room at least.

3) The colors arn't the best. Mind green with purple, what a winner! Uh, not. The yellow/orange and purple are ok, but not with the green.

4) You have like 5 different fonts all over the page. I would maybe choose one for the logo, and another for the rest.

5) You have this weird "white space" next to your second logo, and above the joke of the day. Whatcha gonna' put there?

6) About the side menu: couldn't you make the bar image with just a single one pixel grey line going down to side instead of the thick black line? It would look better the other way.

7) New idea about logo smile guy: why not just take him out all together? It would make everything look much better.
