Yeah they work, but all browsers show them differently (especially NS). I use Win 95 w/ IE 5.

What browsers have problems with cell background images?

Since the text link appears and can be used regardless of whether the cell background is present, is this really a big problem for the visitor?

Since cell backgrounds work for WebTV, Netscape, Explorer (at the very least version 4 and up), this must affect a extremely minute number of visitors.

What OS/browser are you using?

Whoa Whoa Whoa! Cell background? No way, it leads to much browser trouble. I experianced this first hand, believe me. I would make the whole thing an image, and then for people w/ lynx then make alt="text"

I've been considering different background colors. Making the entire tab a link would be difficult, given the current design. Total file size for all navigation graphics on the first frame: 2KB. Total for following frames: 1KB. By using real text, it also has the advantage of working with images off, lynx browsers, translation etc.

get a better color layout, the purple, green and other colors you have don't go to well with the black and yellow.
Get a better logo for your site.

Yes, I'll have to consider those points as well.

When I go to the subpages (IE: gallery) some of the tabs don't show up. Another problem is on the side menu of the pages; the backgrounds to the links don't show up until the put your mouse over them...

I'm sure you're reporting what you saw, but I don't see how the other tabs can fail to show up, they all use the same graphic as the very first navigation frame. No fancy Javascript, Java, just a table cell background. If it didn't load, then there is either a browser or server problem. Since it should still be in your browser cache, it sounds like a browser problem. Ditto the background to the side menu, it's a cell background graphic. What OS/Browser are you using?

Regarding colors, perhaps you can suggest what text/link/etc colors you feel would be more appropriate by visiting the Web Design:Create:Colors section controls. These allow you to set the page as you wish.

As an aside, you may find Web Design:Validate helpful as well.

I think I'll stick with the tab-style navigation for now, I've only had the site that way for a month. I'll will think about colors, though.

Yeah- not bad. I like the main part of the site, but I don't like your top frame.

Its a pretty good layout but:
get a better color layout, the purple, green and other colors you have don't go to well with the black and yellow.
