Your sites looks great to me, compared to the majority of sites that I have seen when I surf the net. I like the first one, coolhomepages better.

Well Jackchen, you have all the good stuff(graphics & content) and I notice you have worked very hard to improve your site, that's a very good habit.

My suggestions would be:

1)Observe some of the populars sites that are similar or related to your site and refine your site to attract these visitors.
like a businessman do.

2)Offer some real free service on your site, for example:
(i)Website validator/optimizer.
(ii)Image compressiom,like gif cruncher.
These are some incentives for visitors to return regularly to source for more that you have to offer.

3)Keep on working and improving towards your goal or plan as your site has very good potentials to be a very popular site(Coolhompages) with surfers from my observations one of these days in the very near future.

One thing I would like to see is a very complete listing of good tutorials and learning sites for various technologies.

Well (as I was saying from the beginning) why would someone visit your site instead of CoolHomepages? Just like I said: why would anyone visit your site instead of AV? This is something you really need to think about on your own. Sure, we can give you ideas, but you need to choose something you really want to do.

You have been lucky to get a good domain name!! What you need to do is find a topic for your site that you are going to enjoy, and keep the topic the same, so that your visitors actually know what topic your site is going to be covering the next time they come back!! you are young, try not to head straight for the big bucks, because they will come if you make a good site with good content on a subject you like!!
