wow, you guys have come up with some good ideas which i think that i will try and incorporate!!

Justin- i am making this a free members site because i want it to be like a community where people can post and chat like they do here, and everyone knows who they are by their username, also they can add their site to the topsites etc without having to refill their information into each one since that is all done on signup!!

Please keep these suggestions coming they are very useful and they help me, thank you very much!!

I think the members-only idea is pretty good, especially since it's free - however - I also suggest making a preview area or something and be sure to deliver on your promises and maybe even add an extra (secret) incentive or two once the user is signed up.. just an idea

I don't get why it's members only either. 'Cause it is free, so you can become a member for free. You might just want to make it public so people won't have to fill out a member form...

Hmm... the whole thing members only? Is it free to join? It's your page and all, but if it was me I wouldn't expect people to go to the trouble of signing up without knowing what was actually in the site. I would give people a taste of your content - a few articles maybe - some samples of what's in there. You should do more than list your content - lots of sites brag about what they have but many of them don't deliver. I know that I wouldn't bother signing up if I didn't know whether the site was any good.

Yeah i missed the deadline i made myself because i misguessed tha amount of time that xrs- the scripts were going to take to write!!

Megs- i dont have enough time to change that picture at the moment but i will try to do it some time soon!! Everything on the site is members only, just so that i can control it a bit because it is going to have chat rooms and forums also, so this might become a problem without usernames!! I am planning to change the Join Network feature soon!!

Thank you for the imput soo far, but i could use some more!!

Wasn't the original start date supposed to be January 1, 2000? It isn't really an issue but it seems like multiple webmaster-related sites that aimed their start or restart date at January 1st missed it
