I agree that there is too much green. Maybe by making the text background white or the main background white that would help to brighten up the site.

The navigation buttons and the curve on your tables are soooo much better.

Just a note, you have used three different greens, two blues, a yellow, and a brown. You might want to use only two different colors - that might help it look more 'professional'.

It looks better now. I'd change the green in the text/navigation table. It's okay in the background. If you changed it to white, added a more colorful boxed logo and maybe some photo's you've got a basic "professional" site.

Think to start with, you need to lose the green. It doesn't inspire alot of trust in this law firm. If I did a search for law firms and that came up, probably wouldn't even read it...just click my back button and go to the next.

As a general rule, I think professional and most business sites should either use white backgrounds or at the very most a light pastel color. There are exceptions, but as a general rule...

There are some that would say this is boring, but if people are clicking their back button because it takes five minutes for some intro animated gif to load or because the color of the background offends them, (and believe me, they do) then I would rather the site is a little boring if people are staying to see the content.

I'm sorry to say this, but your website doesn't look so professional.

Here are some suggestions:
1) Change the size of the buttons, they're too big.

2) Change the font face. Maybe to Arial or Verdana.

Thanks for all the feedback you guys. I tried changing the navigation bar. To me that is all that looks unprofessional (agree or disagree??) any suggestions on any further changes witht eh design and good programs to use?? In my opinion, the site has kind of an ameature feel, and a professional website, esspecially a website for a law firm, needs to look professional. I'm not an expert on design, but I would suggest picking a better font for the graphic links on the navigation bar and have more "professional looking" graphics overall... The colors are pretty unprofessional as well. (Sorry to keep saying the word "professional," but like I said, I'm not an expert in design, and that's the best word I can think of to describe it.) http://www.pageresource.com will probably have some articles on design, and if they don't, probably have some links to sites that do. I would also suggest the "Graphics and Design Help Forum" on this site.
