Good catch, Ian. I missed the obvious thing that I was providing something for NEW web designers and plunked in something that 'experts' can use.

I'll deal with that this weekend

Hi,
In your javascripts section, you have a "view source" button to see the script. This displays the whole page code which includes the code for the script etc. The problem is a new user would not be able to figue out which part of the page actually contains the code so they can use it. This confuses people even more. I suggest you have a separate page listing the code or a way visitors who like the script and want it can download it without downloading the rest of the page which is of no interest to them.

If you like the X Feedback then leave it, I think it looks fine. I know how you justified the images, I'm just saying the logo isn't big enough, or fill that space with something.

X feedback - I guess it was like voting where an X is placed. Just imagery ..... and I guess it didn't work?? Maybe someone would interpret it as No feedback???

'White space' between logo and contact/feedback, etc. Each page is set up the same way - logo left justified and links right justified always in a 600 px table.

Well, I didn't steal the award from the Corporation just an attempt at humour ... 'got it from' would work as well so I think I'll change that phrasing.

Ok, here a little more detailed evaluation:

1) why does it say X feedback?

2) there is a little too much white space between your logo and the contact and feedback buttons.

3) did you really steel that award?

----------

Thanks for those. The green buttons mean an IE4+ user. Yeah, I think I'll dump them in favour of a boring grey button or an image. Flashing arrows distract me too, now that you mention it

The 'lack of content' on the front is intentional - I hate visiting a site where the first page you see is a 60 second download. Plus it lets me put a counter on the site that only gets visited once per visitor.

Based on your comments, I guess it 'hit the spot' for the intended user.

OK, briefly, this site reminds me (for some reason) of an MP3 site. Probably because of the initial lack of content and abundance of small bright graphics.

Apart from this it looks like a potentially good site.

I've built what is meant to be a new web designer help site so beginners can avoid some of the more common/horrific problems.

Got any suggestions as to what I should add?

BTW - if http://clik.to/somewhere is not working, try http://webhome.idirect.com/~bowers/ajb-web/htm/index.htm

wow - love those quick URLs
