Nice! I really like your logo and colour scheme - very differnet - this will help to set you apart from the massive crowd of freebie sites out there. It's good that you put the ads at the bottom where they aren't too disctracting.
A few problems:

<UL><LI>Line up the form fields on the main page.

<LI>Eeew, just clicked on the "Computers" link. That pale peachy colour is really, really bad. Blue might look good there, or more red. I would say green, but that's CNet. The part with the links is too wide - i would stack them on top of one another instead of putting them side by side.

As I usually do, I point out the bad much more than the good because it's harder to learn from compliments than it is from constructive criticism,

[red]The things that stuck out (good)[/red]:
- The colour scheme is one I haven't seen lately.
- Loaded up pretty fast on my 14.4
- Images were small in number and weren't cramping up the page nor the load time.
- Not crowded with ads, even though I think under the strife-net part at the top of the page would be a better place for them than after scrolling down twice.
- Terms of use is something many sites still don't have.
- Worked well with my really funky Neoplanet skin.

[red]The things that stuck out (bad)[/red]:
- No privacy policy for the information you gather when signing up for any of your services or adding a new link. [Adding a Boom Town privacy policy would be the highest priority recommended change after the next comment, in my opinion]
- Your hover effect for the links really bites.
- The bar at the bottom of your "Link to Us" page makes it look as if you're viewing the Advertising page instead.
- Could use a sample of your newsletter.
- I did a search on XXX with your search option with the attention-getting go button.. after looking at some of the some of the results that came up (just the descriptions! ), I wouldn't want to be responsible if a parent happens to catch a younger child looking at things they shouldn't be looking at and they see they got there from your site. Luckily, none came up in the 'search strife-net' box.
- You used a picture of a garfield character (I think) to promote your Boom Town service.
- An enhanced counter service icon and no link to the service's page.
- Forums are pretty inactive, those can be hard to get going. Especially since you've got them all seperated like that, I only looked at a couple of the sections but most people probably wouldn't have. Seeing messages like "I own this board!" and an administrator replying saying that he owns the poster and is the god of all that is good doesn't help much there.
- [Slighly Off-Topic] Your strikecomputers.com link didn't work.
- Did I mention that your hover effect for the links ain't too pretty? All your images with transparency are screwed up with it.. I suggest that you go to just changing the links colour, not the background colour as well. I can't even remember any sites off-hand that use that effect well in more than one or two spots.

[red]Overall Impression[/red]:
- Make some cosmetic changes, do some heavy promotion and you can be going somewhere. Keep up the good work!
