Well adding a picture to the back of the logo will give it more color, but you will have to make a border around it or something. Also, you could put something down the side of the text table. Is the link color the same as the top cell of the table color?

yea, the resumes page isn't done yet, that graphic is only temp until we get pictures of each employee...

kid - what I was saying is that you kept saying "spice it up", but how do you think I should do that?

We're all here, but we've already commented on it. Again, I would get rid of the pop-up, it doesn't look good, and it doesn't go with your site. Also, you got two Scott Squires on your resumes page.

Hey Dan,

At first didn't like the popup, but after playing with it a bit, kinda grew on me.

Not sure what the actual idea of the logo was, but to me it looks like somebody freehand cut the "T" from a sheet of iron with a cutting torch. For an engineering firm, think it fits.

At the bottom of the projects list, you have some links. each link has a single underline charachter after it.

Was just going to comment on the contact page, but you just changed it. Much more professional looking.
OOPS!! Was actually talking about the resume page...not sure i like the graphics that you are using.

logo - the edges are rough, that is my dad's business logo not my design. There will, however, be a panoramic picture of one of my dad's projects behind the current logo text, nice and light just to add a little "spice" and color.

popups - i know that they only work in v4+ browsers, but they aren't a key element, so it's ok: the page can survive for the v3 browser users without the popups. In regards to the popups following the mouse, it was a script I downloaded called OverLIB, and I don't know enough javascript to make it stay in place (like a pull down menu..). I think it works fine, and it doesn't make horizontal scroll bars in IE4 or NS4.... i don't know what browser you're using.

Kid and others - I'm a beginning webdesigner, so please bear with me: instead of saying "spice it up", could you possibly provide some examples of how I could do this? is it in color: making the link bar red instead of black? making the blues darker? how? any suggestions to spice it up would be greatly appreciated.... although it is an engineering business and so we are looking for a professional, and not to out-there look.... anyways, suggestions!

Yeah thats right, they only work in version 4.0+ browsers. I also don't like the color on the pop-up. I agree, you gotta spice it up a bit!

Just one quick comment.

I think the pop-ups need to go, because they actually create a horizontal scrollbar when you mouseover the links from left to right... not too good... i think its because your making them follow the cursor.... also i think you should realise that this probably only works in the newer browsers...someone correct me if i'm wrong....?

the logo is cool, but it's still a little too plain..... as KiD would say...'spice it up a bit'

DYC>> lighten up dude.. if you took the time you would have seen that the logo has that jagged lok on purpose.
