Hi, I just thought I'd add my two cents here.

I think the most serious problem I have with this site is the pop-up windows. They're annoying, firstly, and for me (I don't know if you meant for it to happen this way or not) they fit in the window exactly while leaving the toolbars from the homepage window exposed (NN 4.6 at 800x600). This could be really confusing to people. Since your product seems to be directed towards people who aren't too computer literate, you may want to lose the pop-ups.

I've read some of your text here and I really don't understand what you're trying to say - a lot of this just doesn't make sense to me. Take the first sentence on the home page:

"The Visual Guide is the ground-breaking software that lets you realise your answers and helps you enjoy each step of your journey."

This just doesn't make sense to me. What is my "journey"? "Realize your answers" has no meaning for me either. I would re-write all this to be a lot more straight forward. Honestly, I really can't figure out exactly what you're trying to sell here. I think you need to be more direct about exactly what your product does, rather than these vague concepts you present. It sounds like a good idea - I just think that you should be more direct in order to earn the trust of your customers.

I really like the notebook idea for layout. That part is very well done.

Senate, thanks for your very prompt reply. The grpahics for the Book and its hyperlinks were created in Paintshop, the jumping computer user jumps thanks to a Frontpage 2000 Dynamic HTML effect. 2 questions for you -
1. what font would you advise
2. Did you see much beyond the home page?

Hello Stephen, I'll review any fellow British site

This might be painful...
- no prper logo
- werid bg that I do no beleive is very professional
- redo yout text spacing (paragraphs etc.)
- the Visual Guide text integrated logo is hard to read (orange on brown)
+ nice idea design wise
+ what looks like a good product idea
+ when clicking on 'get it now' I got a pop up but the design of this page is far better and I would consider having the whole site in this vein...

We are a small UK based company about to launch a new software product. Some links (such as the ability to download and buy the product) are not implemented yet. Please tell me how you would change it if it were yours. All comments gratefully (if painfully) received

Our website is http://www.visualguide.com

Thank you
