Hi Tim,

As far as getting business from newspaper ads, go ahead and try, but we have had this discussion before in another topic, and as a general rule don't plan on getting rich from your local people unless you have some big businesses in town.

Have been doing web pages for about a year and Friday, I was awarded my first two local sites. One was one that I do all there computer work and didn't even bat an eye at the price I quoted and the other was one that I was asked to bid on and was also given what the bid was from the other company;). I bid a little low, but kinda wanted to stir the natives up;) and besides the web site has great future potential. Both as fees to myself and as a fairly high traffic site, which I will benefit from in the form of advertising.

Yup, I agree with JP use .gifs for your buttons. One thought I had was what about putting some sort of symbol/logo in the blank area when you are not over a button?! Just a thought.

I would save the buttons as .gif's as they will be much clearer than the .jpg's.

That ani gif could be shrunk to about 8k with a good program.

Hi Tim,
Site looks great, I only have time for the title page right now, I will probably go back later and take a closer look.
Just a couple of things, The corner lines (framing the mouse-over images) are shorter when the mouse is NOT over them, when the mouse is over and the image flashes on the size difference "blinks". That blinking distracts me a bit from the pictures which should be where I'm focusing . That blinking also IMO makes the transition between images "jittery" for lack of a better word .
I would work on the logo a little bit, that font is really thin and could draw more attention if it popped out a bit.

***** that website is nice Very advanced looking, but easy to navigate. The only thing is that 40kb gif, it's nice but fairly huge overall I'd rate it like, 9.5/10

As for that ad, well I haven't placed one in the local paper before, but make your aim to make them go to your website. You can't fit enough info to attract them in 5 lines, but on your website, well, there's plenty of room to show your features there.
