I also think that it's a nice looking site. One point though, I don't know quickly what the site is all about. Maybe a logo or a one liner about what people can find at your site (above the paragraph that explains it). I just think you might lose people if they don't see an anwer right away.

Site looks great, if anything in the review sounds negative it's only to help you with the kindest intensions .
First off you have a great layout, as John mentioned it doesn't look like a newbie site . I love the way you've layed out your categories and the graphics that represent them, very sharp!!
Very interesting content, I plan on going back and exploring it more when I have the time.
I also am a big fan of stripes, so thumbs up for the striped background. One problem with your background is it's HUGE. It could be cropped at about 1/1000th of that size (provided you get the repeat pattern right) and reduce you load time/file size by quite a bit (I'll be happy to do it for you if you want), the background pattern also doesn't tile quite right -- you can see where the top meets the bottom, also a matter of cropping the image "just right".
I'm thinking that the divider just below the top banner isn't really necessary and adds a little extra "nothing" to the page.

All in all I think you have a very nice but slow loading site, layout/colors/content are great!

Hmmm...you didn't really have to ask us to be kind because the site actually looks great!

The only things that I noticed:

The section "Get here Quick" on the right has links of a lighter blue than the rest and the combination over the green makes them hard to read.

In the "True Colors" section the dark green letters in the title logo can barely be seen.

Overall it is well done, and even adjusts for screen resolutions. It doesn't look like a newbie site, it looks nice.
