Am I that strict that I have you all trembling!
Your comment is not at all off topic, I just get annoyed when I see 'what affiliate program should I join posts' in the CGI forum!
IE is indeed more lenient with HTML than Netscape.

Just an observation and probably is better in another topic somewhere (sorry JP, consider my hand slapped!). Think you're better off designing initially in NS and then IE. If you design in IE, you might be surprised by what happens in your tables when viewed in NS. Guess what I'm saying is that IE is more forgiving. Particularly with a table that has a lot of merged cells. (colspan)

Many thanks for your replies - I have centered the list as mentioned in the above.

I agree with carolyn - Netscape & Microsoft
need to get together and draw up a common
language - and that is likely to happen - not! Ah well we'll just have to plod on

Thanks again - your help has been well appreciated! This FREE help is invaluable!

Regards

Steve.

Hi Steve,
I just looked at the page in IE4 & netscape4 for comparison, the column was straight (nothing was all over the place) but was farther to the left in IE then in Netscape. It is different but doesn't look like a "mistake". There was enough space between the columns to look like it could have been set that way. I have similar allignment problems with the site I made in Netscape. I really wish those two companies would get it together "together" for the sake of the internet!!!
