I would say that for me the most striking element of your site (besides your artwork) would be the mouse-over irridescent "egg" buttons. The most discouraging would be the mouse-overs on your home page (inside/outside) because I wasn't able to view the entire graphic on my screen after scrolling far enough down to reach the buttons.<br /> I like the colors of your link text and the black background for your subject matter.
