Well, thank you very much everybody. Your critique was a great help. I re-edited the code to take out the bugs for netscape. If anyone follows this lead and uses Netscape could you please tell me if everythink is okay?

For some reason the page seems faster and more stable, but maybe it's just me.

I have to say, that is a great look! You have some excellent graphics!

Overall, it looks great, however, you may want to get rid of the counter at the end of the page. Or just move it. Maybe get rid of the Recommend-It image (change it into text) and add the counter there.

Also, your title is too short. You may want to change your title to your meta desciption: "Steven Brewis Web Design - Devoted to representing your skills and products on the web." Maybe list a few keywords you want to use on the search engines as well.

One more thing, you may want to go for a full domain. It would get you more clients, and you would be able to add much more interactivity to your site as well.

Hi Lafean,
First off, I think your site has some very unique original graphics and effects--great job with the graphics . The scrolling is a pain for me since I have a smaller monitor and have to scroll both vertically and horizontally. (I've seen the full screen code your looking for but can't remember where right now. I'll keep my eyes open).
FIX THE JAVA ERRORS!!!! I can't stress this enough considering you're marketing web design. Your site doesn't work in netscape -- (I had too many java script errors) and a lot of the text was not visible. I went back in explorer to view the site but your prospective netscape browsing clients may not. After all, they want their sites to work in both browsers too right? Perhaps another netscape friendly site would be a good idea, or just some cross browser applets. Your categories overlap. When I clicked on "who are we" I got a half page of "who are we" and a half page of "our clients". It could just be a matter of moving your targets and adding some more blank space between the categories.
I think you have a very nice unique design, all it really needs is a little fine-tuning.

Good advice as ever from Carolyn, take note.

I do not think the 'full scree' scrpt is a good solution, it would annoy me if my browser started playing about like that!
Maybe, an entry page with a warning of such an occurrence, would be a good idea.

Well I followed the thread and I did receive the email. Thank You, what script is Woody talking about?...

Can one actually write a script that detects screen resolution and then sets (links or otherwise) the url accordingly.

I'm not good wih scripts, I copy and paste about all Java etc. scripts and then work it off from there. I Plan on becoming a Java bof someday, but right now I got my hands full with design concepts and HTML as it is.

BTW, another piece of code I'm looking for, is that which displays the browser on 'fullscreen' mode upon entering the site. This would solve my vertical scrolling problem.

On with the review...

When I first viewed the site yesterday, I though 'oh, God! Please don't let this be a horizontal scolling site!'.
It was , but not all is bad, the good aspects here are that I did not have to do any horizontal scolling, which was a relief .
In fact the design has some very neat ideas, and some of them work - but not all, I ended up viewing bits of another section.

NB: 'We gladly used IE4'. Do you not use it anymore?

I would expand some of the sections, so they do not merge and then try an avoid ALL vertical scrolling for this particular design.

Keep at it, it is a nice idea.
