I think I'll scrap the stuff on the left margin. As far as all the pictures on the first page, I'm not sure how to make it all fit, the artist wanted everything on one page, and there are even more (12-in-all) pics that could go under the "stations" heading. Do you have any suggestions that would make the design fit better? I'm thinking the bars that separate the pics are an awkward size myself (ie, they should fit the window vertically?). I was in a little bit of a time crunch to get it "out there" but have more time to fix it now.

hi,

i just looked at the page and the first thing that hit me:
It's a little long ... hmmm ... I can't describe it. It looks a little stretched, which gives a "nervous" feeling when I look at the page.

The bar at the left contains the same text as the image to the right. I think that's a little to redudant.

sorry to say this, but I think the design doesn't fir the content.
The design is nice, but the left bar gives me a menu-bar association.

Just noticed something else weird abotu the design, the red text images are spread out unevenly.
However I have an idea for a new design, a simple one that might fit the requirements.
- Lightly coloured tables (no border), one for each picture (say light blue/grey/blue/etc.)
- A left right alignment i.e. one picture on the left with text on right then for the next cell flip round.
I can picture it but do not have time to explain prperly, so see if you have any idea what I mean.

Thank you, I did the labels that way because the left label is text and the right label is a graphic. I wasn't sure how to do text on the page in that funky font. I may take them off though -- (Im wondering if that will hurt the page as in not enough words "for those robots"? It also balanced the page a little bit. I had the left column right justified which looked better but then had my little "spacing problem" again so I'm not happy with that column anyway. I'll make a little bar thing, I thought about that at about 4am last night

Well Carolyn,
I hope you get more than my reply as you have helped many others in these forums already.

- It looks fairly neat in IE4 and, in fact, the only real concern I have is why every picture has two labels (one in black text and one image in red text) ?

- I would design my own horizontal lines intead o using the <hr> tag, use a thin marble line perhaps?
