Tech support that doesn't lock the doors when they have a problem. If I'm one of 4 sites on the server and paying $150 per month I want to know why my site has been dead for 30+ hours.

Ahhemmmm.

Well, support for programming languages is important. PHP, Perl, Python, C, Java, etc. Its nice to be able to experiment with more than one.

I like plans $15 to $20. With 100 MB of space. I know might seem high but I just like to have a buffer, and the option without blowing up in package price.

The exspnse of MX chnages, Domain redirection, subdomains etc. very important. Basically flexiblity to do just about anything with whatever package. Hate it where you have to upgraethe package before you can pay for the options.(OLM)

There may be more but thats all Ican think of.

Great support is probably most important to me. I don't care too much for 24/7 support, but I would rather have friendly support that helps me.

Above all - I want a host that can exceed my expectations.

Brian,

Haha yup, seen those! We just had a guy ask us why we don't offer unlimited web hosting -- he tried to get us to offer it to him because a competitor does the same. So I showed him the competitor's policy

Ahem!

Sincerely,

Hehe, good one...albeit a bit obvious.

You might be surprised... many hosts don't tell the complete truth on their pages, such as hosts that offer unlimited disk space/bandwidth. You have to examine their policies very carefully to be sure you understand exactly what the limitations are.

1) Hosts that don't spam.

2) Hosts that follow their uptime guarantees.

NSS,

E-mail hosts that have a hosting package that you are interested in ... Ask them if they would be willing to deal with making payment for your domain and ask what the stipulations are (most will want some you to sign up for a year in advance and you will want to make sure that they domain is registered in your name).

Some will, some won't...

Hi Chad, I missed out something.

quote:I understand that you probably want to pay for all of it together (and thus have the host pay for the domain) but what you want is very easily accomplished.

How do I go about it?

Thanks.
