I mean, I prefer a pro, who knows excatly what he wants. And knows when he made a mistake, instead of calling every five minutes ...

Semi-Pros will always go for the small hosts.

i think some smaller host will do well because they have less overhead. however, i think some mid sized host could get knocked out of the market as the competition continues to heat up.

Yahoo went into hosting because they bought out simplenet ( www.simplenet.com ) probably for their infrastructure and server farms. They had to complete the contracts, so just decided to continue offering hosting services.

BTW, I think their prices are waaay to high.

Although I agree that all these corporations are getting into hosting, I also think that it shows that these smaller hosts can compete just as well. I don't think they'll ever dominate the hosting area, 'cause mainly they're known for computers, etc... Not web hosting...
