Hi there,

My support team is extremely understanding of spam issues in this sort of situation, as long as we are sure that the webmaster will erase any spamming account.

Thanks,

Vladislav

Alex, that's a tough situation. I plan on creating an affiliate program myself and am worried about that issue too.

I do agree that you should get rid of any affiliate caught spamming, and I assume you do. However, as you pointed out that's not enough. Most hosting companies just don't care, if you got rid of the affiliate.

http://www.best-host.com used to have bulk safe hosting, but I don't see it now. I'd contact them, and explain your problem. They might not have a problem hosting you since you are not spamming, just you signed up the wrong affiliate.

This host had bulk hosting, so they probably wouldn't have a problem. Plus, it is set up by a marketer with an affiliate program (David Belton, Belton Enterprises - www.becanada.com). He should understand.

Hope it works out for you and if it does, send me a note jkarnish@bellatlantic.net

I plan on starting an affiliate program myself and from what I here this is almost inevetible unless you screen your affiliates which could be a lot of work.

I don't know if many hosts will take your site on, because of this reason. I would automatically delete any affiliate that does any spamming at all, no exceptions. Because this will hurt you and your company name. Just like I wouldn't suggest offering sub domain names under your own domain, pick another domain, so their actions will not affect your reputation.

HTH

I have recently instituted an affiliate network to help me promote my website. However, although I'm trying to enforce a strict anti-spam policy, I do occasionally get spam complaints on some of my affiliates. (Usually due to posting to inappropriate newsgroup or IRC channel). When spam complaints are sent to abuse@mydomain.com, I deal with them immediatelly. But sometimes the complaints also go to my webhost, and they basically told me I should look for another webhost.

Can anyone recommend a webhost that will not cancel my account for occassional spam produced by my affiliates?

-- Alex
