Hi Elara!

I think the reason why the traceroutes are close to the same is VenerNet's servers are located at the NOC in Chicago. I believe that is the huge backbone where all the major companies are at, like CiHost, OLM, WebAxxs, etc. I do know VenerNet are not resellers, have about 65 servers and have their own techs for their servers.

FYI. VenerNet told me that they are going to be opening or running an NOC, forgot where, and their servers will be 40 feet from the backbone itself. I think that's cool and I was told you can't get any faster than that. I don't know all the details on it, but VenerNet does, and they should be finished in a few months, don't know the exact date.

Do a simple traceroute to them and you find it use the same route and reach the same destination. And try visiting netcraft.com and check what version of web server they are using. Both of them are running Apache/1.3.4 (Unix) FrontPage/4.0.4.3 PHP/3.0.7 on Linux. But what I can't figure out is who is the reseller. Vener Net or Reselleraccounts.com?
Proof that i'm wrong.
