I'm a CYBREX reseller and I find their service to be great. I actually live in one of the locations they have an office in and have visited their location.

As a reseller, we have our own ns servers, as do all the other 4000 CYBREX resellers. Using a service like domainwatch won't count us, and technically, CYBREX is hosting our web sites.

Think about this for a minute, a company with offices all over Canada and the US and their only hosting 70 web sites? Not likely.

As you even stated above, their tech support is a 5 minute response and thier customer service is second to none.

They get our two thumbs up anyway.

OK, let me rephrase my statement. Not even the largest SINGLE host has that many domains. Verio is a huge group of many hosts (yes, they are one company). They became that large because they had the money to BUY the clients. As it stands, webhosting.com is one of the largest SINGLE hosts and they have somewhere around 60,000.

I'm not so sure about that. Verio.com is the biggest host in the world and I think they have more than 166,000 domains hosted. They bought hiway.com that had about 130,000, and Verio already had a bunch. I think they also bought another company too.

Point your browser to http://www.domainwatch.com and enter cybrex.com in the box. They currently host 72 top level domains (this service doesn't count second level domains or domains on any other name servers that they may own).

I have a website on Cybrex now and they aren't that bad. Their control panel is always down which is pissing the hell out of me, and even when it is up, it doesn't function, meaning none of the features work. Their server speeds are good, although not as fast as Communitech - I don't understand how because CT has ds-3's and Cybrex has OC-3's. Also, I'd like to find a rough estimate of how many domains they host. How would I go about doing this?

If your only using HTML and Grphic files, its not.

What about unlimited traffic? 10 gigs? Less?

Unlimited traffic is UNLIMITED. No matter what.

You can have an OC48 line, but if your upline is sorry, then it doesn't matter what you are connected at, you will be slow. It also depends on how far away they are from the backbone, which backbone provider they are using, how many sites they put on a server, etc..

I don't know the cost of an OC48 but they are VERY high. I know a company (Vener), they have 2 T3 lines shared and 2 T3 lines completely owned. They have over 17,000 customers, and they don't even have an OC48. They told me that they were going to be running an NOC very soon, forgot where, and the servers will be 40 feet away from the backbone itself.

So, it all depends on so many factors. I would go with a company that is recommended. If the customers are happy then you should be. Then see if that price is right for the price it costs them.

yes i am going to use cgi...
oc48s are much faster than oc3s. i dont know what an oc48 ring is.. is it the same thing??

the response time of the first email was about 15 minutes. the other three that i have sent to them.. about 5 minutes.
