&lt;p&gt;The problem is that the NAME of your frames are &#039;left_frame&#039; and &#039;right_frame&#039; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;and your links use target=left and target=right .  They need to use the NAME given in the frameset file that NAMEd them ...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;so &amp;lt;a href=&quot;whatever.html&quot; target=&quot;right_frame&quot; is what you need  &lt;img src=&quot;http://www.webmaster-forums.com/ubb/smile.gif&quot; alt=&quot;&quot; class=&quot;bb-image&quot; /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
