it's like looking at the source code of a web page.

Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook i believe do it pretty easily. When you sending a new message just got to "format" and click either Rich Text(HTML) or Plain text.

Not sure it's worth the trouble. Different e-mail client software has different 'html' capability so some people who receive your html-filled e-mail may end up looking at a bunch of html code.

And in some e-mail clients it is possible to disable the html display capability.

I think the very best way to emulate what you want is to do this:

create an html page with your message, images, etc, etc., post it on some web space somewhere (not even linked to your web site if you want) and mail just the page URL to everyone along with a short message. That way, nobody has to sit through a long e-mail download, nobody gets html mail they cannot read, and everybody who wants to can visit your html page and see 'the whole thing'.

But if you really want to do it .... check the 'help' with your own e-mail program to see how your e-mail program puts html into e-mail.
