I'd like to have a short wav-file as background-sound on a page. It should be played repeatedly through loop="true".
This works with MSIE 4 and 5 and with Netscape 3 and 4, but not with Netscape 4.6 (on WinPCs, I haven't tested it on Mac yet) - it pauses every time before repeating the file.
You may try it yourself, I've put a little test-page on the net: http://www.myworld.privateweb.at/manFred/loop.html

Is this a bug in this version of Netscape's browser? Has someone got an idea on how to make it work?
I thought of an invisible Flash-file, but I'd like to do it without being dependent on a plugin.

thank you,
