    <description> &lt;p&gt;I would like to know the same.....there has to be a way to do this other then using AOL. My hubby converted them before but he is not sure how he did it now and we do not use AOL at all....thanks for the replies.&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;soundtank&lt;/strong&gt; -- I don&#039;t have Illustrator (I use CorelDRAW).  Would you please let me know what the .art extension is used for (other than AOL)?  And thanks for responding -- I am always glad to feed my brain more trivia!&lt;/p&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;One way to convert something to .art format is to get an AOL user to download it from the web (with their user preferences set so that the extra compression occurs).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;.art files will not look as good as the original artwork.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Here&#039;s a link straight to a page on one of my &#039;help&#039; sites that tells you all I know about .art files and how to avoid them, and also which preferences to set ... presumably if you un-set those prefs you&#039;ll receive the compressed art format images.&lt;br /&gt;
