Well I guess it's agreed - it's probably the space. I was thinking that maybe that was thr problem - but I didn't think it could be that simple - seems like nothing is these days.

But I will give that a try - I really appreciate your help!

By definition a URL (Uniform Resource Locator/internet address) may not contain spaces.

As far as I know UNIX servers, that means most servers, do not support file names including spaces. You only have those on Macintosh and Windows systems which will encode the space as something like %20 when copying to a UNIX system. Its thus a good rule of thumb to never ever use spaces when referencing an object on the web. You may use the underscore _ instead. Just like in the good old days of DOS. Another important issue is to keep your URLs 7 bit clean. That means, its best not to use any character in the URL but those which can be written using the keyboard with the shift key, but not the ALT key. Umlauts are not allowed either. All characters can be encoded, though. If you really need that the best address to go for is www.w3.org

As to why IE supports spaces in URLs: IE is a Microsoft product, and Microsoft intends to give advantages to their own server products. Since you can only have spaces on Windows servers, people might buy Microsoft server software instead of UNIX. Besides that IE often isnt as close to the rules as NS, although there are of course some exceptions to it, especially concerning CSS.

Hope this helps,

Brooke,

Only thing I can see is that the top file name has a space in it and i don't thing NS recognises file names with spaces, where IE does.
