&lt;p&gt;AuthUserFile /somepath/to/.htpasswd&lt;br /&gt;
AuthName &quot;Somewhere.com&#039;s Secret Section&quot;&lt;br /&gt;
AuthType Basic&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then you need to create your .htpasswd file.&lt;br /&gt;
That&#039;s it.&lt;br /&gt;

    <description> &lt;p&gt;yep, upload then rename...  also, you can have one hta file doing multiple things (each line), or in some cases more than one hta file in different directories doing certain things.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have this feeling that you actually only need one in your home directory, which can do it all if you write it correctly, but since I only use it for simple things, not sure how to set that up 100%&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;been a bit since I have used it for anything.&lt;/p&gt;
