&lt;p&gt;Yes, that is the conclusion I have come to. Although I am by no means a JS programmer, I don&#039;t think you can write files to the client.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I was thinking, though of a perl script possibility: Would LWP::UserAgent; $ua-&amp;gt;mirror() be something that might help along those lines? &lt;/p&gt;
