Probably not. It could be argued that it'll put more wear on the components and what not, but it probably won't cause anything to blow up.

I say probably because it's not my fault, the fault of this forum or the company that runs it if anything happens because of our advice. Smiling

Might be some error in the windows registry. if the registry gets corrupt this happens.

As long as you keep it cool, it's not likely to cause hardware damage, except to the battery. Unfortunately, it's not easy to say what the risks are and how to deal with them without knowing the type of battery, its age, the system it supplies and what power management features there are. The best general advice may be: don't overcharge, overheat or underuse it. For more detailed recommendations, consult your manual. Apple has some information on maintaining their lithium polymer batteries, for instance.

There is a risk of software instability for poorly-written programs running over a long period, which could lead to data loss. Some applications need to be restarted often – including certain operating systems, browsers, etc – for best performance, or else they may slow down, leak memory, or crash. That said, five or six days is not very long. Use auto-save where available and save often, anyway.
