My first impression is that the design looks very table-ey. Meaning that the table lines are very obvious and in this case it doesn't really contribute to the design. I would move the logo up into the left corner and enlarge and rotate it to overlap the other two table cells a bit.

Speaking of the logo, it looks kind of faded to me - it's probably the colours on the last two shapes - make that back orange square less grey-ish. I also think that you need to get rid of that pale yellow background and just make it white. That's one of the things that makes this site look outdated. And why is there that space at the top of the page?

Another problem that I see is that the site is very text intensive. People don't like to read that much on the web. Keep things short and to the point and use bulleted lists to illustrate key points.

Hi.

Your site's pretty clean. I think it would help if you made the links at the top ("How to DIY" etc.) into buttons that were separated more. I notice you've set it to underline as the mouse rolls over; however, that only works in Internet Explorer. It would be good to have buttons with cross-browser rollover effects I think.

I just noticed that the buttons at the top are in all caps on the inside but not on the first page.

For the articles, I suggest you put more space between the text and the edge of the box (or colored background) that it's in.

The site is easy to follow I think.
