Hi
Can I have a review of AltaHit.com please? I'll take this opportunity to say that this is simply the tester version 1! Version 2 is underway with a much more professional design, viewable in more browser versions and has some more options. I just wanted to get an easy navigation and the concept across with this version to see if it was marketable and it appears it is - with the necessary tweaks.
But anyway, what do you all think/suggest?

Can't say that I liked this one that much.
Overall I think the site needs some work on the design and color schemes the most.

If you are in the process of redesigning anyway then it seems a bit daft for us to comment on this design.

Well, I think that a review of his old site will probably give him some ideas of what went wrong the first time and what he should do differently in the new one.
Here's an actual URL for those of you who are lazy like me:

Oooh, yeah, a redesign is defintely in order. YOu need to think about things mroe before you do them as opposed to just slapping things up there. The layout organization, for example, is really bad on a lot of pages, graphics are poorly optimized in some cases, colour scheme needs work, usability problems etc etc.
Take all the "Click here" links - everyone seemed to think these were good 5 years ago, but now we know that people are more likely to skim a page than to read it, so it's better to use meaningful titles for links that people will understand even if they haven't read the full text. This skimming thing also means that text should be structured so that it's easy for people to read.

lol, pretty much state the obvious! You have no idea how much abuse that green bar has taken! The colour scheme, design etc was never intended to be flashy. Like I say, this was more about evaluating the idea.
The text will become much more easy to skim read obviously and the whole image of it will become much smaller.
Any feedback is appreciated.
