Happy Holidays
Based on all the feedback of my last post, I re-redesign the index page (ONLY) of my personal site.
I tried to address the main issues that were posted in this forum. Yet, with so much holiday liquor going down my throat I may have missed something. For what it's worth I changed...
1)"peach" & other colors
2) top banner size
3) scroll
4) so many others....
This is the the newest version...

PLS bear in mind that I only reworked the index page (and tossed it in another folder) so the links may not work. I'm more interested in design comments at this point.
compare it to the old one http://www.cycleboy.com/
Thanks for the help
Andrew

Hey, I like that better. The background you have for the top bar is very appropriate for the site.
Have you thought about maybe an orange color for the title of the site instead of gray to match your rollovers?
Besides that it looks great:D

I agree that the new one looks much, much better and I think that making the title orange will just finish it off.

So I just tried both headings on the banner in orange and it looked like halloween. Since I want to stay faithful to the xmas spirit I only changed the top header to orange...
I think it works but maybe I've had too much egg nog...
Thanks

This one looks good. I am finding that there isn't enough colour contrast in the content and navigation areas. The top logo area looks good, but I'd like to see some more orange in the rest of the design. Maybe fore headers or something???? Give it a try anyway. I would also like to see that logo in more of an orange - less yellowy.

The search box seems to blend in too well with everything. I'd like to see it look like a regular search box with a white background. As much as it looks cool with the dark purple background, i don't think it's recognizeable(sp?) as a seacr function...even with the text above it.

use netscape or Opera, it displays the default (standard way).
It looks good, only thing i can add is something about the mouseovers, how bout changing from orange to the yellowy orange of your banner name (good choice on the yellowy orange colour btw)
<?bhb if(broken){ echo("It wasn't me
"); } ?>
