Is it any good? -

I've had this up since August of last year. As you can see, there aren't a lot of hits. I have it set up as frames for ease of navigation (you'll understand why it's like that when you see it.) Is there anything I can do to make this better?

The URL would help I guess. http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/Choir/3877/index.htm Vienna and Choir are case sensitive.

Hi there, I'm not the expert but I'll tell you what I know so far about promotion--I don't have a lot of time and will give your site a through looking over later. If I were you I would take a day or a few hours and do some surfing. search (yahoo is good) for all the art/music/ directories and submit your site to them (don't forget the major search engines too). Also, since your site is in Chicago, find some local directories and do some link swapping/submission with them. I'm finding myself that the actual site building is the "easy part" the promotion is even more time consuming. Check out some of the articles on this website about promotion too, there's lots of great info available.
take care,

Actually GPSiii, the URL is in your profile. The image with the 'little face/interogation mark'.

For future reference use UBB code for URL's
so they appear like so http://www.what-next.com/ubb/ubbhtml/ubbcode.html

Anyway to your site...
- First impression is that of a rather plain site, you need to liven it up a bit, more colours etc.

- Visit the promotion section of these forums as you have no Meta Tags, these are essectial to a successful site.

- Bin the counter.

- I would have a nice image logo, perhaps that clef in small?

ok, I took a better look at your web site. I really like your background pattern. You can spice things up very easily by taking your heading/logo "The Irving Park Fine Arts
Committee" and making a striking graphic out of it. JP had a good idea with the clef too. I'll give you a couple of examples I did (10 minute graphics in a paint program)

I would be happy to make something for you if you want, I still have "fun" doing it
feel free to e-mail me if your interested

you can also add a few little tasteful graphic bells and whistles (buttons/bars etc......)without overdoing it.

Highlight the current/new info so people will know exactly where to go if they are in a hurry.

Your frames work ok but I wasn't able to see the bottom of the first frame because I have a smaller monitor.
It might be interesting to play with a different background on one frame for a little contrast, just a thought

the reason your not getting lots of hits on your website isn't because of the design. If you want to get hits plan on spending either a little time or money to promote your site.
take care,

Carolyn, I think you can use images in these forums...
This should work:

If this works you put the images you kindly created up here for opinions

I'm afraid that I replied, then realized that the arrows were to "last page" and not "next page"
