Hello All,

I'm having trouble figuring out what to put/how to lay out content for my "home" page. Here is the link so you see what I have to work with: http://benjisa.com/draft/

I'm just really not sure... Here's what I was thinking... I'll write up a little something about my services for the right panel thing (underneath "welcome"). And on the left darker thing (below my logo), have some little ad-like bubble things highlighting some of my services.

What do you think?

How about a blurb about how your services could be used or how effective they are on the interweb - basically sell yourself

The left column looks fine now. You could start the body area with an introduction explaining what it is that you do (specifically, with good keywords for search engines). Then show an example of your most recent job or a highlight from your profile. Make sure there are links to other parts of the site and calls to action for the user.

As you see, I've recently added the things on the left...

That link really helps, thanks! I guess I should have explained better what my problem was. That's really interesting though about drawing people into the website. Because in the past I've tried to give a huge summary on the home page.

*bump*

Can I get some more critiquing on the draft site in general?

In general very good. I would like to see text in the box to see how that affects the overalll view. Put a copy of paragraphs in there just to see if anything gets moved around or distorted

Thanks. I'm still writing up my content for the home page, but I have tried filling the page with temporary content and it looks fine, no problems with stuff lining up, etc. But I will put the final stuff in there tomorrow or in a couple days, so check back.

Any more comments, please, I need all the feedback I can get!!
