My web site (http://www.pobox.com/~japhy/) has recently been beefed up to use CSS, but much to my dismay, I found that many versions of Netscape do not offer the robust support found in IE. As such, my page looks nice (in my opinion) in IE, but lacking in Netscape.

What modifications can you folks suggest I make to my stylesheet? I like that you can specify a border in specific directions (as opposed to a border entirely around an element), but Netscape doesn't support that.

Thanks for your assistance.

First things first, I would set up a browser test that redirects to an external stylesheet for the different browsers- just makes things easier.

Secondly, I would jazz it up a bit; this would help with your css too. What I mean is to layer the contents within one pane or box. move your contents/index up horizontally, and simply switch the layers around on click. How will this sure up your css?

If you move it within the one box you can contain your layers better. Just because you have moved to full css positioning doesn't mean you cant still use tables. (might be a bit contradictory)
Here is a link to a great article on this subject.
