There are a lot of money raising web sites out there. The only problem with them is that the only ones who make any profits out of them are either the site owner or a particular charity/company.

I've decided to make a compromise and combined it all. Please, have a look and say what you think.

It all seems very contrived. I suspect though that enough people will read it thoroughly and give it a go, because there is the chance of money for nothing. Perhaps if there was a graphic to explain the deal, it may be easier to grasp?

Layout looks good, color scheme is okay. Now, as for your content:

I don't know you and I'm not giving you any money.

Not trying to be mean but who are you that we should care? You claim its for a cause, though what cause that is you don't say, and if you put in you might get some back. I don't get what you're trying to do and its very convoluted.

OK. I thought it was all clear from the index page. I've made some changes, so all the important info is there to see. The money will be given away to CHARITIES (see FAQs), at least 21 participants (possibly even 34) and, of course to me. Everything is clearly stated in the index and index2 pages.

As for who I am, just do a whois search and you'll see.

looks like a con job site, not that im saying it is but you need to get away from that perception,i like the idea so i tryed to find out more and guess what your /index2.php page isnt there when i followed the link for more info.

in short:
Great idea
web design a bit shoddy and the whole thing rushed

Excuse me...A con site??? Well, I guess a little paranoia in this day and age is quite understandable. Anyway, what gave you that idea?

You must have been accessing the "Find out more" while I was fixing a scroll problem in IE6 and lower. Sorry about that. It is all working well now.

You need an incentive for people to give you money.

For starters, the majority of your visitors will not know a thing about you and will see it as a milliondollarhomepage.com rip-off, as that's how you've described it. You need to steer away from this if you have any expectations of people giving you enough money. Put yourself in their shoes and ask 'What's in it for me?'.

If you can get the message across more directly, you may be onto something.

Point taken, but I don't think that the mentioned site was a rip-off. The man had a good idea and obviously, others had some spare money to pay for it. Although, I don't understand why.

And to ckim06....I tell you whats with the leafs. Right now we have autumn in the UK. For Christmas you'll see a Christmas tree and a snowman afterwards. Just to give some "feel" to the site. The colour scheme will also change.

Hmm.. I'm sure you mean well but this idea seems a little off to me, but kudos to you for trying to come up with an original idea that benefits others. Nice site design! I like the color scheme and layout.

Best of luck to you!

Your logo looks jagged, and a bit too skinny. Also, what's with the leaves?
